“He who works with his hands is a labourer.
He who works with his hands and his head is a craftsman.
He who works with his hands and his head and his heart is an artist.”

San Francesco d’Assisi

OUR HISTORY

THE 70s AND THE 80s

Giuseppe Giacometti has been working in the goldsmithing field since 1971, when he started his career as a lapidary in one of the oldest lapidary workshops in Valenza. Clemes Verica Isonni attended the Benvenuto Cellini Institute, one of the most famous and prestigious art schools in Valenza, between the 70s and the 80s. Giuseppe and Verica married in 1984 and decided to pursue a shared career in the goldsmithing industry by establishing Taglieria Giacometti at the beginning of 1985.

THE 90s

Taglieria Giacometti started its activity in the small workshop in Piazza Fogliabella, in Valenza. The team counted only two members and the workshop was kitted with a basic set of equipment, which still enabled it to satisfy the first orders. In just two years, in 1987, the number of orders had increased so much that Giuseppe and Verica had to move the workshop to bigger premises, expanding the team and kitting the business with new state-of-the-art equipment.

2000

The workshop moved to the Piazza Gramsci premises, where it further increased its production, range of services and equipment, introducing numerical control milling machines, ultrasonic drills, polishers and tumblers.

2016

Taglieria Giacometti inaugurated the new workshop in Via Melgara n.7, a state-of-the-art facility capable of catering for the needs of both artisans and large multinational companies.

2020

Taglieria Giacometti celebrated its first 35 years of activity with the enthusiasm and desire to grow that has distinguished the company since the beginning. The workshop was updated with the latest technologies to offer clients a wide range of services on the most diverse materials.
